Six East Canton softball players picked up postseason awards when the Hornets met one last time to honor deserving student-athletes.
Katelyn Kennedy picked up the Most Valuable Player award. Kennedy and teammate Alexis Fogle each were named golden glove award winners for their defensive efforts.
Lexi Betz was named Rookie of the Year award in her first season of varsity action.
Lauren Wines took home the Most Improved award.
The Douglas Award went to Kendra Gulling while Fogle picked up the Hornet Award.
Betz, Salyers and Kennedy each took home the 300 club award for having a batting average over .300 during the 2016 season.
