Loy Memorial Race winners announced

On June 20, the annual Loy Memorial Races were held in East Canton.

The morning began with the one -mile race and then followed with the 5-K race.

In the one mile race, Josh Conrad, for the boys, and Megan Gothard, for the girls, were the overall winners. The following are the results of the race in the various age categories:

BOYS

Six and under: Landen Demos and Creed Patterson;

7-8: Andrew Gothard and Cody Vacco;

9-10: Matthew Gothard;

11-12: Erik Loy and Alex Donaldson.

GIRLS

Six and under: Breyana Buxton and Kaily Lanzer;

7-8: Madelyn Hill and Emma Patterson;

9-10: Addison Loy.

The results of the 5-K race included the following:

WOMEN

Overall Winner: Melissa Kandel

Master's Winner: Valerie Novelli

Alumni Winner: Kandel

15-17: Meredith Loy and Brittany Buxton;

18-20: Adriana Novelli

21-24: Jena Richards

25-29: Aimee Shilling, Stacy Duskey and Janessa Novelli;

30-34: Kristy Pero, Heidi Patteson and Karrah Stilianos;

35-39: Sherry Runzo, Karen Warner and Annette Demos;

60 and over: Pearl Gailey.

MEN

Overall: Dustin Ford

Master's: Vince Russo;

Alumni: Glenn Gailey;

14 and under: Hayden Demos;

15-17: Patrick Shlefer, Trenth Smith and D.J. Hill;

18-20: Alex Loy and Geoff McGinnis;

21-24: Alex Stern and Mitch Hogue;

25-29: Vaughn Foraker, Derek Furbey and Jason Richards;

35-39: Mike Buxton and Todd Shilling;

50-54: Tim Stern and David Clouse;

55-59: Vince Russo and Howard Wise;

60 and over: Greg Huff, Glenn Gailey and Jim Warner.
