Hailey Coy, age 2, of Robertsville may not be able to read, but she can look at all the color photos in the hometown paper.
Hailey takes a look at The Press-News while visiting Salisbury Zoo in Maryland. She was there with her parents, Jake and Amber Coy. Also on the trip were Penny and Billy Coy II of East Canton, Jake's parents. They were visiting Jake's sister and husband, Stacy and Jason Neal and their six-month-old son, Jacob Neal, all of Rehobath Beach, Del.
In addition to the newspaper, Hailey was extremely interested in a peacock that hopped out of its pen. "It is not easy to get a two-year old to sit still and hold a paper," Jake Coy said.
While on the trip they traveled the coast of Delaware and Maryland and went to Ocean City, Md., and to Assateague Island to see wild horses.
Take your "hometown" on vacation with you and send us the photo of The Press-News being read on your getaway. The trip can be for just a day or longer, but we are looking for unique photos taken any place in Ohio, the United States or the world. Please make sure they are in good taste. We do not accept Polaroid photos. Only high-quality photos will be printed as space allows.
The photo contest runs through Sept. 12 and, once again, Kerchner's Hallmark Store in Southgate Shopping Center is the sponsor. Photos can be e-mailed as jpegs to pressnews@the-review.com or sent to The Press-News, P.O. Box 777, Waynesburg, Ohio 44688. All photos printed in The Press-News also will be on the Web site, www.the-press-news.com.
