To the editor:

Thank you to all the local organizations that helped make the East Canton village's annual spring cleanup on Saturday, April 26, a success.

Those participating include Consumers Bank employees, Cub Scout Pack 36 and Boy Scout Troop 36 members and families, Mt. Tabor United Methodist Men, East Canton Rotary and Interact members, The Deville Apartment Association and Jenise and Jessica Marshall. We appreciate your efforts in making our village a clean place in which to live, work and play.

Thank you also to all the businesses, organizations and individuals who made the East Canton village's second annual garage sale on May 17 a success.

Despite cloudy skies with occasional, light rain there were 43 garage sales held in the village.

Those participating included St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, Nicole's Restaurant, Osnaburg Historical Society and many individual homes and businesses.

Luncheon specials were offered at the Osnaburg Historical Society and at The Scoop Ice Cream Parlor.

It is the village's hope that everyone had a great day of meeting friends and neighbors, found some useful items, maybe even some treasures and that sellers made a little extra money.

All these bargains that exchanged hands also helped keep good items no longer used or wanted out of our landfills.

Thanks to The Press-News, Louisville Herald, Foltz Community Center and C&B Body & Auto for advertising the event.

Thanks,

Jackie Branch &
