* Honor Flight was founded by Earl Morse, a physician and retired Air Force captain, in 1998.

* The mission of Honor Flight is to provide a day, free of cost, to visit the World War II Memorial and other sites in Washington D.C. (food, shirts, hats, all are provided free).

* Guardians pay to go along, but the cost of $275 covers the flight, meals and entire day, and the "donation" is tax deductible.

* Honor Flight is in need of volunteers, guardians and donations, which can be cake to Honor Flight CAK, 4786 Dressler Rd. N.W., Suite 307, Canton, Ohio 44718.

* Honor Flight is always looking for World War II veterans who want to take the trip. Terminally ill veterans of any war are given top priority, along with World War II veterans.
