Dear Editor,

By all accounts, another challenging year awaits us in 2010.

In times like these the success of our local Salvation Army Christmas kettle campaign becomes even more important.

Thankfully, area residents donated a total of $1,704.41 during the season's campaign. These funds will be used to help neighbors in need throughout the coming year.

I would like to extend my since thanks to all donors, supporters and volunteers who worked so diligently to make this year's drive a success. Your thoughtfulness and generosity will be the difference when a friend or neighbor needs a helping hand.

Thank you and my God bless you in 2010.

Joe Kerr
