Goodwill Industries, which sells items that may have gone to a landfill, offers tips for going green.

* Consider taking your old computer to the Goodwill where it will be refurbished and put in the hands of a low-income family;

* When giving goodies for gifts, shop the Goodwill for mason jars and tins;

* Instead of wrapping paper try using old comic books or antique boxes from the Goodwill store;

* Give the gift of time to the Goodwill in the name of a special person;

* Donate old toys to the Goodwill to make room for the new ones;

* Find totes to replace plastic shopping bags at the Goodwill store.
