The Lunch Bunch held their first meeting of the New Year on Jan. 7, at 1 p.m., at the Classic '57 restaurant, in Minerva. Only 13 were present due to the cold and snowy weather. At the meeting, Jean Willis of Robertsville read a humorous article.

A decorated cake was provided by Patsy Karlen and Barbara Dunlevy, both of Minerva, to honor the 94th birthday of their mother, Olive Patton, who resides in East Rochester. Everyone shared the cake and sang "Happy Birthday" to Ms. Patton, and following, she shared some of her memories with the group.

The Feb. 4 meeting will be held at the same time at the same place.
