GRADING

PERIOD ENDS

The end of the second nine-week grading period will be Thursday, Jan. 14.

NO SCHOOL

There will be no school in the district on Friday, Jan. 15, and Monday, Jan. 18, for a teacher work day and Martin Luther King Day, respectively.

HOMECOMING

CELEBRATED

Winter homecoming is being celebrated on Friday, Jan. 22, when the Cardinals meet Garaway. The dance will be held the next evening from 8:30-11 p.m. at the school.

MAKE-UP GAME

THIS SATURDAY

The East Canton Hornets will have a make-up game this Saturday at home against the Garrettsville Garfield G-Men.

NO SCHOOL

There will be no school on Monday, Jan. 18, to observe Martin Luther King Day.

HOMECOMING SET

The East Canton Winter Homecoming game will be Friday, Feb. 5, and the dance will be held the next day, 8-11 p.m., at the Foltz Community Center. The theme of the dance is Neon 90s, and the song is "This I Promise You."

SPAGHETTI

DINNER SET

The high school band will host a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Jan. 30, 4-6:30 p.m., before the Wizards game.

COMING

The 75th anniversary of East Canton Basketball will be celebrated the weekend of Feb. 19-20. A 75th year glossy edition of Hornet Hoops is being published, and recognition of former basketball players will be held at Friday night's game, followed by a "mixer" in the Davis Gym. An alumni game will be held on Saturday night.

A financial aid night is planned for tonight, Jan. 14, 6:30 p.m. at the high school.

A talent show will be held at Faircrest Memorial Middle School on Thursday, Jan. 28, 7 p.m.

NO SCHOOL

There will be no school on Friday, Jan. 15, for an inservice day, and on Monday, Jan. 18, for Martin Luther King Day.
