Garrett to be hired as SV High principal

Brian Garrett, who has served as assistant principal at Sandy Valley Middle/High Schools, is being recommended by the Sandy Valley Local Board of Education to be the new high school principal.

The board will make its advisement at the next regular board meeting, scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, July 6 in the high school auditorium.

Garrett has served in the district since 2003 in numerous administrative capacities. He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University. He is currently involved in the doctorate program at Youngstown State University.

Garrett and his wife, Dana, live in Massillon.
