Bitzels celebrate 60 years

PETE AND THERESA BITZEL

Pete And Theresa Bitzel of Waynesburg are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in November.

The former Theresa Volpe was married to Pete Bitzel at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Canton on Nov. 13, 1948.

The Waynesburg couple will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a party at Skyland Pines. The party is hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, Pete and Lorie Bitzel.

Pete is retired from Bitzel Excavating, and Theresa is a homemaker.

Other children are Kathy Spears, Linda and Ralph Petros and Rick and Kathy Bitzel.

The couple also has 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
