Hospice of Stark County is here to serve the growing community. As their services grow and expand there is an increased need for volunteer support, particularly in the area of patient care and caregiver support.

There is no obligation to volunteer by simply attending their training sessions. Their desire is to educate people on "what hospice does" with hope that you may see a connection between your gifts and talents and the growing need for hospice volunteers.

The next training session is set for Oct. 20, 21, 23, 17, 28 and 30, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Westbrook Park United Methodist Church.

They need volunteers to:

* Provide support to caregivers and patients;

* Help with fundraising;

* Service on committees;

* Providing office assistance and computer knowledge; and

* Help promote Hospice of Stark County and the hospice philosophy of compassionate end of life care.

This 18 hour Hospice Training provides insight and education by offering lectures and activities provided by staff and area professionals.

For more information, call Vicki Indorf at the Hospice Office 330-493-0126.

Volunteer training is offered at no cost and no obligation to participants.
