The Canton Amateur Radio Club and a American Radio Relay League will meet Wednesday, July 16, 7:30 p.m. in the Training Room of the Stark County E.O.C., 4500 Atlantic Blvd.. N.E. (State Route 62 East). The Club Station, W8AL is located at the E.O.C. in the lower level of the County Safety Center. The July meeting will feature vice president and field day chairman Roger Gray, W8VE who will give the 2008 Field Day Wrap-up. On Aug. 1-3 will find Special Event Station W8AL on the air during the Pro Football HOF Festival. Stations contacting W8AL can receive a certificate suitable for framing. Do not forget, the CARC meets for breakfast on the second Saturday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Nazir Grotto Building, 1717 6th St. S.W., Canton. Exit 105 off of I-77. The Grotto Building is east of the Granger Co., with no steps, and handicapped parking at the door. Join them on Saturday, July 12. The CARC meets the third Wednesday of each month and at other times and locations for special community-related events.
