SV students honored by CS RotaryJune 18, 2008
Ryan Cook and Natalie Offenberger became the first Sandy Valley High School students to be honored by the Canton South Rotary. Ryan, a junior at Sandy Valley High School, is the first Sandy Valley student to represent the Canton South Rotary at a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards conference. Ryan received his leadership training at a conference in Salem in April. Natalie Offenberger, an eighth-grade student at Sandy Valley is the first Sandy Valley student to receive the Canton South Rotary Outstanding Student Award. Her award was to be presented at the junior high awards assembly. The Rotary Club of Canton South has in the past and continues to sponsor leadership and recognize outstanding students in the Canton Local School District. However, since a good portion of the Sandy Valley School District, is located in our Rotary Club's chartered area, the club has chosen to also recognize Sandy Valley students for their leadership abilities and outstanding scholastic performance.
