The 63rd annual Canton South Band banquet to honor band members was held May 1. This year over 100 Wildcat musicians were recognized.

Many special moments were remembered during the evening including the presentation of a new band scrapbook in memory of the band's long time historian, Norma Guinther. The evening was capped off with a look back at the year in a video, which had many in the crowd laughing and crying at the same time.

Award Winners this year include, front row from left, Jessica Elseser , special recognition band; Ashton Rebstock, $500 band booster scholarship; Ashley Gaut, Heist Award for outstanding freshman; middle row, Joann Schneider , Gilmore Award for band and $500 band booster scholarship; Henry Davenport, special recognition jazz; Jeannie Warrick, Johnson Award for outstanding senior; Krystle Baum, Gilmore Award for band; back row, Tom Gaskins - Herman Award for jazz; Sean Steward, special recognition band; Ben Foringer - Sousa Award for band and Herman Award for jazz; Alex Krob - Arion Award for top band student, Armstrong Award for top jazz student and $139 Indian River Fruit Scholarship.
