New East Canton Head Football Coach Steve Miller, right, held a meet and greet evening on Thursday, April 24, at the Foltz Community Center in East Canton.

Pictured above with Miller at the event is freshman Seth Mayer, who will play for Miller next year as a member of the Hornet football team. The event was open to parents of players and fans of Hornet football.

Miller will take over the reigns of the Hornet program from Dan Patterson, who resigned after the end of the 2007 season. Miller has held two other head coaching jobs in the area, including a stint at archrival Malvern and at Marlington.
