To the editor:

I would like to personally take the time to thank Dick Dierick, Waynesburg Village Council, Mayor Ken Flesher and American Electric Power for the street lights that were installed in Evergreen Acres.

I was the one that the most complaining about not having lights and I wanted to be the first to say thank you.

I have heard many positive comments on the lights, from how nice the actual lights themselves are, to how well they light up the streets, to how it makes our street look like the rest of the streets in town. We are not just the dark street at the edge of town any more.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks to themselves how nice it is to be able to look out our front windows and doors and see that someone isn't looking back at us.

I truly feel that you guys have made our neighborhood safer.

Thanks again,

Scott Anthony
