You can't make everyone happy, and it does not appear the horse has much interest in the Press-News.
However, Lamore, the horse, did have a good time with Emma Bolyard, of Sandy Valley, as the two of them explored the trails in Resurrection Pass, near Hope, Alaska. Emma and her family, including her sister Miriam and brother Zane, "packed out" on horseback to a historic gold prospector's cabin deep in the Chugach Mountains for what the family said was "a wild and exciting summer vacation."
This photo and others will be entered into the "Take Your Hometown on Vacation" photo contest. The Press-News and Kerchner's Hallmark Stores are sponsors. Prizes will be given from both businesses, so before leaving for vacation, pack up a copy of The Press-News to take along on the trip. Think of an interesting place or pose for the photo that includes a copy of The Press-News.
The winning photo also will be published on the front page of the newspaper.
