The newspaper headline says "Spans the generations" and that is what the Kelly family did when they recently traveled to Jackson, Miss., to watch one of their own compete in the National Barrel Horse Association Youth World Championships.
Paighton Kelly, age 13, participated in the competition, with over 1,800 other contestants, age 18 and under in 10 divisions. Paighton placed fifth in her division in the final races held on July 31.
