The Press-News, along with Kerchner's Hallmark Stores, are once again sponsoring the "Take Your Hometown on Vacation" photo contest.
Before leaving for vacation, pack up a copy of The Press-News to take along on the trip. Think of an interesting place or pose for the photo that includes a copy of The Press-News.
Some of the more interesting ones that have been submitted includes a family trying to "hold up" the Leaning Tower of Pisa, while reading the paper and another of a person and "her friend" (a statue) reading the paper together. The contest has begun and will continue through Sept. 15.
Prizes include a gift basket from Kerchner's Hallmark at Southgate Shopping Center and a subscription of The Press-News. The winning photo also will be published on the front page of the newspaper.
