Jared Eichelberger pitched a complete game shutout and Michael Roberts smacked a grand slam homer in powering Sandy Valley past Malvern 15-0 in a game shortened to five innings.
Eichelberger was nearly unhittable on the mound, striking out eight.
Nelson Mozden and Blake Offenberger both had two hits to pace the Cardinals.

Cameron Woods connected for a three-run homer in the first inning and the rout was on.
Roberts struck out eight in five innings of work to pick up the win. He also helped himself at the plate with three hits.
Also having multiple-hit games were Austin Dierick, Danta Tucci and Mozden.

The Cardinals led 1-0 after four innings of play, but the defending state champions rallied with seven runs over the final three innings for the win.
Cameron Woods pitched well despite being pinned with the loss. Michael Roberts and Xavier Sarver each doubled, and Paul Roberts had a base hit.

Sandy Valley committed four errors in the second inning, leading to four unearned runs for the Saints.
Blake Offenberger collected two hits on the day, rallying Sandy Valley to tie the contest heading into the bottom of the seventh.
Tusky Central was able to score in its last at bat thanks to a throwing error.
Sandy Valley (11-7, 7-3) will host Strasburg today (April 28); and travel to Hiland on Monday, May 1; and to Ridgewood on Wednesday, May 3.
