Sandy Valley linkster Logan Leichtamer has a bright future ahead of him.

The freshman compete at the Division II District Tournament at River Greens, finishing 31st with a score of 98.

Leichtamer shot a 47 on the front nine and a 51 on the back nine.

"I couldn't be happier for and prouder of Logan," commented Head Coach Gary Offenberger. "It's quite an accomplishment for a freshman to qualify for districts. It was great experience for him. He now has a taste of success. Hopefully, he uses this as a building block for next year."

Only one team and one individual qualified to the state tournament.

Garaway won the team title by 15 strokes, and John Glenn's Dylan Van Fossen qualified to state as he took home medalist honors with a 71.
