Sports Time Machine to feature history of wrestling series

Tune in to WHBC 1480 AM on Saturdays at 1 p.m. beginning Sept. 17 as the "Progressive Auto Group" Time Machine presents the History of Wrestling special edition programming.

Host Larry Hackenberg will explore the incredible stories behind Stark County wrestling. Guests will include coaches Walt Tolarchyk and Dave Riggs and wrestling greats Fred Horner, Dan Funk, Gust Malavite, Mike Sessor, Zion Shaver and many more.

Sept. 17 Listen as Dave Riggs, Fred Horner and Bill Balogh discuss why wrestlers typically become successful, passionate, driven adults and often overcome unbelievable barriers. Hear from the best why wrestling is unique in how it shapes character and self-confidence, and how success is really measured.

Sept. 24 Hackenberg is joined by Gust Malavite, Bill Hall, Fred Horner and Carl Busnick to recreate the Rise of Canton South Wrestling as they become a reckoning powerhouse.

Oct. 8 Guests to include Mike Sessor and John Heather, with special guest Dave Riggs.

Oct. 15 Hackenberg highlights Jackson wrestling this week, and is joined by brothers Mike and Dan Funk, Dan Michel, and brothers Craig and Tim Sanders.
