Sandy Valley runs well at Jackson

Sandy Valley competed at the David Ziesmer Jackson Cross Country Invitational this past Saturday, with the boys placing third in the small-school division and the girls finishing second.

The boys were led by Aleks Rymer as he placed 11th with a time of 19:14.6.

Michael Lewton was 14th in 19:30.8, Isaac Knight was 16th in 20:46.6, Nash Monroe was 17th in 20:52.9, Dean Freitag was 18th in 20:53.4, Jeffrey Edwards was 19th in 21:12, and Austin Owens was 20th in 21:31.3.

On the girls side, Kiannah Sarver was sixth in 22:56.9, Alex Howell was eighth in 23:20.3, Mercedes Sarver was ninth in 23:22.6, Ruby Behm was 11th in 25:25.6, and Maggie Lampe was 12th in 29:52.1.

The Cardinals will compete in the Boardman Invitational this Saturday, Sept. 17.
