Sandy Valley soccer remains unbeaten

Sandy Valley improved to 3-0 with a pair of soccer wins.

With the match tied at 0-0 at halftime, Sandy Valley exploded for four goals over the final 40 minutes on their way to a 4-1 win against East Knox.

Jamon McCort tallied two goals and an assist, Zach Karam and Haiden King each found the back of the net, and Aaron Price had an assist.

Darik Garber was solid in goal, recording six saves.

The Cardinals led in shots 22-11 and corners 4-1.

This past Saturday, the Cardinals downed Union Local 7-3.

Karam was unstoppable as he scored four goals and assisted on another.

McCort had two goals and an assist, Tyler Price had a goal and Justin Faverty recorded an assist.

Garber came up with five saves between the posts, and Faverty had two saves.

Sandy Valley led in shots 18-16 and corners 6-4.

The Cardinals were to face Massillon on Sept. 6, before hosting Tusky Valley today (Sept. 8). The boys will travel to Tusky Valley on Thursday, Sept. 15.
