Sandy Valley is entering its first season as an OHSAA sanctioned boys soccer team.

As a club team, the boys posted a 3-7-1 record a year ago.

Lettermen back include senior Tyler Price (midfield), Haiden King (midfield) and Zach Karam (forward); juniors Gavin Biehl (midfield, defender), Zane Bolyard (defender, goalie) and Justin Faverty (defender, goalie); and sophomores Aaron Price (defender) and Isaiah Sarver (defender).

"We have a strong core of experienced players in the midfield and in attack," commented Head Coach Ryan White. "We are a new program, so we are young and somewhat inexperienced. For the past three years, we were a co-ed team. This year, Sandy Valley has split into a boys team and a girls team."

Sandy Valley opened the season with an impressive 7-3 win over visiting Tuslaw.
