Sandy Valley's baseball team recently had its postseason banquet and passed out awards to deserving student-athletes.
Kail, who signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Bluffton, took home the highest honor as he was named first-team All-Ohio in his final season at Sandy Valley.
Teammate Michael Roberts collected honorable mention All-Ohio honors in division III while taking home the offensive MVP award.
Zach Reugg collected the defensive MVP award while Xavier Sarver grabbed the award for most improved.
The Top Gun awards this season went to Jared Scolati and Nelson Mozden.
The Cardinals lost in the sectional finals to Belmont Union Local. The Division III state champion this season was IVC rival Hiland, who finished the season with a record of 30-2.
