Northeastern Buckeye Conference distributes postseason awards

Several Canton South spring athletes received awards from the Northeastern Buckeye Conference.

In baseball, senior pitcher and outfielder Ty McKinney received first-team conference honors. Junior pitcher and catcher Khord Moore was named second team All-NBC.

Honorable mention awards went to pitcher and second baseman JC Philippi and pitcher and outfielder Rashawn Pride.

Brock Begue of Marlington was named conference player of the year. Marlington's Mike Farrell was named coach of the year.

In softball, senior second baseman Beth Myers received first team conference honors. All-IVC second team honors went to freshman first baseman Sharon Williams. Junior catcher Shannon Moore and junior outfielder Alex Faiello received NBC honorable mention.

Bailey Byers of West Branch was named conference player of the year, and Sis Woods of West Branch was named coach of the year.

In boys tennis, junior Noah Franks received first team All-IVC honors. Second team honors went to senior Dakotah Miller, and senior Zach Holshu and junior Nathan Thompson garnered honorable mention awards in the conference.

Jake Pukys and Rod Hall of Louisville were named conference player and coach of the year respectively.

In boys track, senior George Lexington received second-team honors in the 100-meter hurdles. Senior Jake Daniska also received second-team honors in the high jump. Honorable mention awards went to juniors Brooks Herrington and Arthur Miles.

Lane Knoch of Marlington and Robert Motz of Salem were respectively named conference player and coach of the year.

In girls track, honorable mention awards went to junior Jordan Delauder and sophomore Londie Williams-Fields.

Micah Donley and Chris Woolf of Carrollton were named respectively player and coach of the year in the conference.
