Canton South tennis team receives awards

Canton South's boys tennis team concluded its 2016 campaign by passing out postseason awards to recognize outstanding play this season.

Junior Noah Franks took home first-team all-NBC honors while also earning the First Court award during the special awards part of the evening.

Dakotah Miller earned the Most Improved award. The Coach's award went to Zach Holshu while teammate Nathan Thompson earned the Most Wins award.

Franks and Thompson teamed up in the postseason and made it to the district tournament in doubles.

NBC scholar athlete awards were earned by Franks, AJ Pugh, Holshu, Thompson and Quinn McCabe. Those five completed a 3.5 GPA in the final nine weeks while also earning a varsity letter.
