Wildcats are ninth at sectionals

The Canton South boys competed in the Division I Stark Sectional Bowling Tournament this past weekend, finishing ninth out of 14 teams.

Andrew Scarpino had the 10th best series on the day with a 642.

Colin Rohleder was second on the team with a 620, Dominic Kail had a 543, Alex Clendenin had a 518, and Kashan Patel had a 442.

The Wildcat opened with games of 1,004-860-901.

Their baker-game scores were 192-167-184-177-201-156.

Hoover won the team title with 4,312 pins. Also qualifying to districts were Perry with 4,229, Timken with 4,205 and McKinley with 4,173.

Individual qualifiers are Vinnie Yacano of Jackson with a 713, Trevor Nelson of Lake with a 704, Austin Reese of Massillon with a 692, and Andrew Moore of Wooster with a 685.
