Cardinal boys bowling downed by Triway

The Cardinal boys bowling team was back in action on Dec. 13 when they took to the lanes against Triway High School.

The boys were out dueled by the Triway Titans by the final count of 2,433 to 2,140.

Leading the way for the red and grey was Caleb Deford who had a high series of 410 by shooting 185 in game one of the individual games and a 225 in game two. Also contributing to the scoring was Ryan Herstine (147 and 146), Cody Ledger (129 and 141), Aaron Janson (144 and 163) and Luke Nicholson (105 and 140).

The two teams split the Baker System games with each team recording two victories. Triway took the first two by the final counts of 234-167 and 172-141 and Sandy Valley took the final two by the tallies of 149-144 and 158-146.

The bowling teams played three matches in three days this week, traveling to Lake High School on Dec. 17, while also hosting the Massillon Tigers on Dec. 18 and traveling to Timken on Dec. 19.
