Seventeen Hornets named to All-PTC team

In the latest version of the Portage Trail Conference Fall Sports All-Star Team, seventeen Hornets were honored for their outstanding play during the fall sports season.

Capturing first team honors this season were seniors Chad Nicholson (football), Austin Tekip (football) and Sean Woodall (football) and sophomore Nick Miller (cross country).

Earning second team honors were seniors Josh Molla (football), Travis VanVoorhis (football), Jack Knight (football) and Jason Neidert; junior Mackenzie Vincent (cross country) and sophomores Megan Gothard (cross country) and Rachel Vincent (cross country).

Securing spots on the honorable mention team were seniors Alyssa Chuckalovchak (volleyball), Megan Pragnell (volleyball) R.J. Weston (cross country) and Clayton Snyder (football); junior Clay Libertore (football); sophomore Tracie Aller (cross country) and freshman Colin McCauley (cross country) and Erika Matie (cross country).

The boys' cross country team finished the year in fourth place in the County Division of the PTC while the girls tied for third place. The football team ended the year with a 5-5 record and 4-3 mark in their final year in the PTC taking fourth in the division.

Next season, East Canton will participate in the Inter-Valley Conference.
