Thirty-five Wildcats receive league honors

Canton South has landed 35 athletes to the Northeastern Buckeye Conference's fall all-star teams.

Named to the first team are seniors John Strasser (football), Josh Kenney (football) and Noah Mallen (football); and juniors Andrew Wright (soccer), Josh Lyon (football), Paige Mittas (tennis) and Casey Greene (soccer).

Second-team honors went to seniors Alex Rohr (soccer), Terry Williams (football), Armand Fontes (football), Sarah Krichbaum (tennis) and Jessica Haley (tennis); juniors Curtis Schleappi (cross country), Caroline Thompson (soccer), Matt Dworznik (golf) and Deonte Settles (football); and sophomores Kyle Robinson (cross country), Danielle Dine (volleyball), Tessa Hollinger (tennis) and Ann Trissel (tennis).

Selected to the honorable-mention squads are seniors Cody King (cross country), Miranda McNeal (soccer), Jason Merriweather (football), Dejon Newell (football), Zaire Daniels (football) and Ashley Weaver (tennis); juniors Caige McCabe (soccer), Dan Culberson (golf), Jacob Dubina (golf), Alivia Forshey (volleyball) and Audrey Leahy (volleyball); sophomores A.J. Flemming (soccer) and Megan Harris (cross country); and freshmen Sam McGill (soccer), Jacob Steinke (cross country) and Gabby Waltz (cross country).
