Canton South boys soccer honored

Recently, the Canton South boys soccer team came together one last time to take a look back on the 2012 season and honor those players who excelled on the field. The Wildcats finished the season with a loss in the sectional finals to Marlington.

Earning special awards for the evening were Sam McGill (Defensive Award), Alex Rohr (Offensive Award), Ryan Finley (Coaches Award), Tommy Chastain (Coaches Award), George Lexington (Most Improved) and Andrew Myers (Most Improved).

Teammates Anthony Richardson, Finley and Rohr all received their fourth varsity Letter for the Wildcats while Rohr also obtained 2nd Team All-NBC for his outstanding play. Andy Wright captured 1st team All-NBC honors while McGill and A.J. Fleming both were Honorable Mention NBC.

In the NBC Scholar Athlete Department, 10 Wildcats were honored who all excelled in the classroom while also excelling on the playing field. Those 10 individuals were Chastain, Fleming, Finley, Ryan Giavasis, Ben Kohring, McGill Cody Ravenscroft, Rohr, Tim Schaar and Josh Schaffer.
