The Canton South boys basketball team finished their regular season with two losses, losing on Feb. 23 to Perry by a 50-41 score, and in their final regular season game, to Akron East on Feb. 27 by the score of 77-37.
Against Perry, the Panthers doubled South's score to lead after one by 10-5. Perry extended their lead at the half to 29-19. Neither team gained an advantage in the third, a quarter in which both teams scored 10 points.
Ethan Gallion led all Wildcat scorers with 12 points. Armand Fontes, Bryson Smith and Eric Thompkins all added six points each.
Against Akron East, Chantler Jenkins led all South scorers with 13 points. R.J. Daniels added eight points.
No other information for the Akron East game was received by press time.
Canton South's first tournament opponent will be Akron Kenmore on Wednesday, March 3, at the Canton Memorial Fieldhouse at 6:15 p.m., which will have been played by press time.
