Waynesburg residents earn scholarships at YSU

More than 1,200 Youngstown State University freshmen have been awarded scholarships for the fall 2016 semester in recognition of their academic excellence, including the following:

Amber Janson of Waynesburg, a graduate of Sandy Valley High School now majoring in pre medical laboratory science, was awarded the first opportunity award and housing excellence scholarship.

Garrett Long of Waynesburg, a graduate of Carrollton High School now majoring in mathematics, was awarded the first opportunity award.

Sierra Sarver of Waynesburg, a graduate of Sandy Valley High School, now majoring in pre dental hygiene, was awarded the first opportunity award.
