Bridge Point accepting school supply donations

Bridge Point Community Services is collecting new school supplies, back packs and donations for new shoes to help students prepare for school in the fall.

Donations can be dropped off at Bridge Point Thursdays / Saturdays each week. Financial donations are accepted to the "Souls 2 Soles" shoe fund that provides new shoes for kids in need.

The organization is also asking for donations for "Back Pack Care Packs" with the items from one of the two lists below. Backpack donations are accepted too no wheels should be on the back pack.

Families in need of supplies can apply for assistance through July 23 in person at Bridge Point.

The elementary care pack needs two packs of No. 2 pencils (USA made), three folders with prongs (red, yellow, blue), one pack of notebook paper (wide ruled), pencil box, Crayola Crayons (24 pack), two Elmer's glue sticks, one four-pack dry erase markers (low odor) and baby//Clorox wipes hand sanitizer.

The secondary care pack needs two packs of No. 2 Pencils (USA made), two pens (blue or black), two binders (three ring 1.5" and 2"), two packs of notebook paper (wide ruled), three spiral notebooks (one subject, wide rule), colored pencils, baby//Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer.

Items can be dropped off at Bridge Point, located at 309 45th Street SW in Canton.
