The students in Emily Fox Johnson's second-grade class had the opportunity to invite their families to their classroom to discuss a recent project on healthy eating. The students made homemade vegetable soup and banana bread with Kent State student teacher Allison Holland. The families enjoyed the food while students talked about the project and showed them the school's online comprehension assessment, Accelerated Reader. Gage Montgomery's grandparents, Woody and Nancy Montgomery, were among the family members that joined in the fun.
