Emerging Leaders is a new program at Faircrest Memorial Middle School. The program identifies students who demonstrate good leadership abilities and allows them to work with fellow leaders to determine what is best for their school. This program has been considered widely successful and has helped with many of the programs the school has developed.

At the beginning of this year Emerging Leaders helped new students around the building at the school's Ready Fest, and has participated in many other projects since.

They planned Red Ribbon Week, which is a week devoted to encouraging students to taking a stand against drugs. The Emerging Leaders group is committed to doing everything they can to make their school drug free. This group also worked recently on an anti-bullying program titled "Stomp out Bullying Day."

Posting signs, posters, banners and by helping make announcements about the program are some of the ways Emerging Leaders has helped the school. They have also collected pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, Helped with Unity Day and promoting the blood drive program, Pint Sized Heroes.
