Walker pilgrims, Indians re-enact first Thanksgiving

Published:

Students in Rayelle Price's kindergarten class read the book "One Little, Two Little Pilgrims" and then retold the story by reenacting in a classroom play. Each student had to decide which character they wanted to be, an Indian or Pilgrim.

As part of the retelling they chose a community job to complete for their Thanksgiving Feast. Some went fishing, harvesting, or berry picking, while others had to set the table or build the fire to cook the food. In the end all jobs were completed and they had a Thanksgiving Feast.
