Chansin Jackson of West Noble Street in East Canton, the daughter of Ann Jackson, has accepted a Buschmann Award from Xavier University in Cincinnati.

Jackson graduated from Canton South High School, where she was active in basketball, student government and choir. She plans to major in social work at Xavier.

The Buschmann Award is based on a student's record in high school and amounts vary.
