Scholarship awarded to Tataru

Caitlin Tataru, daughter of John and Colleen Tataru of Kirtland, has been awarded The Charles F. Bush III Scholarship. Caitlin's grandmother, Colleen June Tataru, is a lifelong resident of East Canton.

Caitlin recently graduated with honors from Kirtland High School where she was a co-captain of the varsity soccer team and a member of the National Honor Society.

She attended the Baldwin-Wallace Summer Honors Institute of biotechnology in 2008 and has received numerous awards including Outstanding Biology Student Award presented by the Kitland Education Foundation.

On a nationwide basis each year, the Bush Engineered Materials Inc. Scholarship Program awards $3000 college undergraduate scholarships to eligible sons and daughter of employees. Selection is based on academic achievement and personal qualifications.
