Ron May Jr., a 2006 Canton South graduate and accounting major at The University of Akron, was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma on Feb. 26. He is the son of Lori and Ronald May, Sr.
Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student can receive anywhere in the world. To be eligible for membership, students must rank in the upper 10 percent of their junior or senior class, or in the upper 20 percent of the graduating master's class. The international society is composed of top business leaders worldwide and recognizes the academic achievements of its members.
The University of Akron is the public research university for Northern Ohio. The Princeton Review listed UA among the "Best in the Midwest" in its 2008 edition of Best College: Region-by-Region.
