EC Middle School students hear about many types of careers

Published:

East Canton Middle School had 14 community members recently speak to seventh- and eighth-grade students about careers.

The students spent time before Career Day with Cheryl Robinson from the Ohio College Tech Prep Program. Ms. Robinson taught the students about careers and worked with them on investigating possible career choices.

On Career Day each student was able to hear three different presenters talk about their chosen field and ask questions that they had prepared in class. The students then did a reflection in their language arts classes.

"It was a great day and East Canton appreciates the community members taking time out of their day to talk to our kids," said Erika Knowles, principal at the middle school.
