Meals on Wheels of Stark & Wayne Counties is in critical need of volunteers to deliver meals out of its North Industry site in Canton.

Volunteers must be licensed drivers and have auto insurance coverage. Deliveries are made between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday through Friday and take approximately 60 to 90 minutes to complete. Routes leave from the North Industry Christian Church, 425 45th Street SW, Canton, OH 44706. The agency provides volunteers with training and mileage reimbursement.

In addition to its North Industry site, MOW is always looking for volunteers at its other Canton locations as well, operating out of Cherrie Turner Towers (700 McKinley Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44703) and Mayfield Manor Apartments (3844 11th Street SW, Canton, OH 44710).

Those who would like to become regular drivers or occasional substitute drivers are welcome. An Adopt-A-Route program also allows businesses to deliver in the community.

For those interested in volunteering at Meals on Wheels, contact Anngi Klick at 330-832-7220 or email klick@mow-starkwayne.org.
