COFFEE SOLD

Mt. Tabor Church has a new shipment of Fairly Traded Coffee. Fairly supports the small grower and is grown without doing harm to the environment. Regular and decaf are available. See a church member for more information.

AIDE FOR DOMESTIC

VIOLENCE PROJECT SOUGHT

Mt. Tabor is asking for donations to help with a project for Domestic Violence Project. For the next couple months donations will be accepted between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Renew Counseling Center, 720 - 19th St. NE or visit www.dvpi.org. For more information, call 330-488-1842.

SHAWL MAKERS

TO MEET

Thanks to all who have donated yarn to Trinity Lutheran Church Shawl Makers Group. They welcome any size yard and any color. Their next meeting is Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m. They continue to knit baby caps, military caps and prayer shawls and look forward to new members joining the group. Anyone who would benefit from a gift of a prayer shawl should call the church at 330-866-3035 and leave information so a prayer shawl can be delivered.

CHILI SUPPER AND AUCTION SET

Center Church of the Brethren will host their annual chili supper and auction on Saturday, March 2. Proceeds this year will be divided with the first half for sponsorship to help send some youth to Inspiration Hills Church Camp and the second half will go to some on-going building improvements at the church. Dinner will be served from 4:30 until 7 p.m. A small auction will begin at 6 p.m. Cost for the meal is $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 12 and under. Call 330-418-1148 for more information.

ST. JAMES DINNER

SET FOR MARCH 3

On Sunday, March 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., St. James parish will hold a lasagna or ham dinner. Salad, dessert roll and drink will be included. The cost will be $8 for adults and $4 for children. Carry out will be available.

SOUP KITCHEN SET FOR MARCH 3

On Monday, March 4, from 3-5 p.m., the Church of Christ in Louisville will hold a clothing give-away and soup kitchen. For more information, call 330-875-1673.

KITCHEN

IN MARCH

Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church will not hold its Shepherd's Kitchen sit-down meal in March, due to remodeling construction being done at the church. Deliveries will still be made to shut ins. Contact the church at 330-866-9293 to have a meal delivered.

MEN'S GROUP MEETS

The men of Christ Memorial Church in Robertsville met for a monthly breakfast Feb. 16, at Classic '57 in Minerva,. The lunch was arranged by Jim Muckley and Ralph Frase.

Table grace and a devotional was led by Frase for the 11 members and guests.

The March 16 breakfast will be at the church.

WIGS MEET

Workers in God's Service met Feb. 18, at the Christ Memorial Church in Robertsville with a brown bag lunch in the downstairs social room. It was their first of the new year, since January was cancelled due to bad weather.

President Beverly Perry gave grace for the 12 members. She was also the hostess of the event and provided dessert and colorful table decorations for St. Valentines Day.

She conducted necessary business when reports were given by Treasurer Evelyn Pikulik, Kathy Boyce and herself. Various projects were discussed and program booklets were updated. A thank you card was received from Mary McFall.

Program chairperson Marge Rue read a group of religious and humorous articles. The closing prayer was given by Becky Horvath.

The March 18 meeting will be the same time and place, with Mary Creighton serving as hostess.
