IT'S SOUP TIME
It will be soup time at Mt. Tabor Church on Sunday, Feb. 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The choice of soups are chicken noodle, potato, vegetable, chili, or ham and bean. They will cost $2.50 for a bowl or $5 per to-go container.
Mt. Tabor Church has a new shipment of Fairly Traded Coffee. Fairly supports the small grower and is grown without doing harm to the environment. Regular and decaf are available. See a church member for more information.
AIDE FOR DOMESTIC
VIOLENCE PROJECT SOUGHT
Mt. Tabor is asking for donations to help with a project for Domestic Violence Project. For the next couple months donations will be accepted between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Renew Counseling Center, 720 - 19th St. NE or visit www.dvpi.org. For more information, call 330-488-1842.
Thanks to all who have donated yarn to Trinity Lutheran Church Shawl Makers Group. They welcome any size yard and any color. Their next meeting is Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m. They continue to knit baby caps, military caps and prayer shawls and look forward to new members joining the group. Anyone who would benefit with a gift of a prayer shawl should call the church at 330-866-3035 and leave information so a prayer shawl can be delivered.

On Monday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m., the women of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church will begin a Bible study series on the book of Esther by Beth Moore. To get the book or for more information, call the church at 330-488-1842.
ST. JAMES DINNER
SET FOR MARCH 3
On Sunday, March 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. St. James parish will hold a Lazagna or ham dinner. Salad, dessert roll and drink will be included. The cost will be $8 for adults and $4 for children. Carry out will be available.
NO DINNER AT
Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church will not hold its Shepherd's Kitchen sit-down meal in March, due to remodeling construction being done at the church. Deliveries will still be made to shut ins. Contact the church at 330-866-9293 to have a meal delivered.
The Sandy Valley Community Choir will present an Easter Cantata titled, "God So Loved the World," on Palm Sunday, March 24, at 6 p.m., at Magnolia United Methodist Church. This will be the only community service during the season of Lent, and offering proceeds will go to the Helping Hands Network. Choir rehearsals are now being held every Sunday, from 2-4 p.m., at Magnolia U.M. Church.
TALKS ABOUT LOVE
Sunshine Circle of Christ Memorial Church in Robertsville met Feb. 11, in the downstairs social room, with 10 members present.
Hostess was Louise Anthony, assisted by Martha Haubert.
President Kay Flanagan conducted necessary business. Mission giving went to "P.K. Sam" and the November thank offering to Charlie Reed. Kitchen person for March is Martha Haubert.
Program chairperson Jennifer Schaeffer used as her topic, "Love" for Valentines Day and read love stories from the Bible.
Refreshments were served by the hostesses.
