Challenger League looking for players

(Dover) - Tuscarawas County Challenger Little League will be holding 2013 registration for players and buddies on Sunday, Feb. 24 and March 10 from 3-5 p.m. at Starlight School, 610 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia. An information meeting will be held each day, beginning at 3 p.m., for those wanting more information on the Challenger League.

Interested players must be between 6-18 years old or age 22, if still enrolled in school. Buddies should be at least eleven years old.

Tuscarawas County Challengers was founded in 2010. This local charter is a division of Little League baseball and is available to players with physical or mental challenges or an individual education plan through their school. When needed, players are paired with a buddy to assist with batting and/or fielding. It is open to any player living in Tuscarawas County and surrounding area. The league currently plays in Dover, New Philadelphia, and Bolivar.
