Benefit set for Jim Halter

A benefit spaghetti dinner will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Louisville Eagles to help Jim Halter cover his expenses during his treatment of colon cancer.

Halter is a local resident of Osnaburg Township and father of two. He is a self employed farrier and has been unable to work since cancer treatment began in September.

The dinner will include spaghetti, salad, roll, desert, coffee, tea or punch. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Dinner will be served 5-9 p.m. There will be a DJ and cash bar until 11 p.m.

A silent auction, Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle and a hog raffle will also be held. There will be two winners in the hog raffle each getting a half of a hog. The prize includes cutting and wrapping of the hog.
