BETH MOORE BIBLE

STUDY BEGINS AT

MT. TABOR

In late February, a Beth Moore women's Bible study will be held at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. The study is titled "Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman." Ruth Varian will lead the study, which will include a workbook and video to help women personally examine their lives, as they study the story of Esther. Look for more information coming.

DONATIONS

NEEDED

Donations are being accepted at Mt. Tabor of box tops for education to help Red Bird Mission in Kentucky. Box tops and labels from General Mills, Campbell's and Pepperidge Farms products are needed. Call or drop the labels off at the church office. Food items are also being accepted for Canton Calvary Mission. Mt. Tabor and East Canton Church of God are accepting food or clothing items for the community cupboard.

ANNUAL FELLOWSHIP

DINNER MEETING SET

The annual fellowship dinner and congregation meeting at Christ Memorial Church in Robertsville is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 27, following the 10 a.m. worship service arranged by the board of trustees. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish to share and a table setting. Rolls and beverages will be provided by the fellowship team. Board of trustees chairman Ken Flanagan will preside over the business session. All active church members are encouraged to attend.

WIDOWS MIGHT

TO MEET

On Jan. 30, The Widow's Might will meet at the Crossroads Restaurant at 5 p.m. for all widows in the Sandy Valley area. For more information, call 330-866-2552.

MEN'S CONFERENCE

TO BE HELD

Beacon of Hope Community Church in Louisville is presenting a men's conference called 'Stepping Up- a call to Courageous Manhood' on Saturday Feb. 2, Super Saturday. The conference speakers and material are provided by Family Life Today and is led by Dennis Rainey, a nationally known family ministry leader. The times for the event are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with registration at 8:30 a.m. Lunch is provided as part of the $15 registration fee. Early registrations are encouraged so that materials can be provided for everyone that is attending. Beacon of Hope church is located at 1101 E. Main St., Louisville. ST. JAMES DINNER

SCHEDULED

On Feb. 3, St. James Parish will hold a dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring stuffed pork chops or spaghetti. The cost will be $8 for adults and $4 for children. Carry out will be available.

SUNSHINE CIRCLE

MET JAN. 14

The Jan. 14 meeting of the Sunshine Circle was held in the downstairs social room of the Christ Memorial Church in Robertsville with five members present.

President Kay Flanagan conducted usual business when the secretary and treasurers reports were approved as read by Assistant Secretary Martha Haubert and Gloria Richeson, respectively.

Mission giving for the month of January will go to Ken Copley, director of the AWANA program. Threee birthday cards were signed. Kitchen person for January is Lynn Shaeffer.

CATHOLIC WOMEN

TO MEET

The board meeting of the Diocese of Youngstown National Council of Catholic Women will be held at St. Paul Church in Salem on Saturday, Feb. 16. Sign in will start at 9:30 a.m. with the meeting at 10 a.m. Reservations will be taken by Rosemary Wetshtein, at 330-296-6817, by Feb. 1.
